I was feeling a bit cocky. I had spent two days touring around with no visible signs of any real jet lag. Maybe I was born to be a jet setter.
Things are a little different when you are sitting down for a meeting. Breakfast with my colleagues at 7:45 am (2:45am Georgia time) was easy. The brisk short walk to the meeting was great. I still had great confidence when I sat down at the meeting table armed with strong coffee at 9am. By 9:10am I was done. I felt like the cartoon where the cat tries to keep his eyes open with toothpicks. The only think that kept me awake (which I am not sure I succeeded 100%) was watching one of my colleagues nod off during the first presentation. Fortunately, when 5:30am (my normal wake time at home) Georgia time rolled around - 10:30am here - I was back to being refreshed. Whew.
We met all day. We met during the morning tea break. We listened to a presentation while we ate lunch. We met during the afternoon tea break. We finally ended at 6pm. This was tough. I used all my brain power to try and stay awake. I was at a loss for questions. I am hoping to review my notes later and follow up with some intelligent comments and questions.
Now, I am off to dinner and drinks. Wish me luck.
