Today is Steve's 43rd birthday. Last night we enjoyed a glass of wine on the front porch. We then went out to dinner at Cakes and Ale. YUM! We started with roasted almonds with rosemary and finished with a figgy cake.
Steve wanted to grill burgers for our friends and family for his birthday. He will start that around 4pm or so.
I met Steve in 1991. He moved into the house I was sharing with Harvie Haun. I knew right away that he was the one for me. He on the other hand took some convincing. We married in 1996. We have had many fabulous years traveling, camping, dining, and building a life. Our favorite past time is still sitting around listening to music and talking. That is also how our wine tends to disappear. What a great life we have together. I love you Steve.

It was a delightful gathering and the food was delicious. There must have been 40 kids there, hand to God. I love that the adults' birthday parties have become indistinguishable from the kids' birthday parties. Equal amounts of food and alcohol seem to disappear. Happy birthday to my big brother!
Happy birthday drunkle Steve.
It was a great birthday weekend!! Thanks for making it so much fun, Joy. I love you too.
