So, we had our Memorial Day celebration yesterday. Today we were going to relax. Kate and Sarah spent the night. Even though they were up well past their bed time they decided to wake up in the wee hours of the morning.
First, Sarah woke with a cry about 4:30pm. She cried until I made my way down to their room. She promptly stopped once I covered her with her blanket. I decided I was too tired to return upstairs. I rested on the trundle bed that Sarah prefers to remain as close to the floor as possible.
It seemed I was only asleep for a second when Kate rolled off the top day bed and her head smacked my eye. She grabbed me around the neck and said "I just had a bad dream". I figure she dreamed she was falling off a cliff.
Soon she was back sound asleep. I moved her up to the day bed. Alas, she awoke and preceded to tell me the entire Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck version of Jack and the Bean Stalk. Then she chastised me by saying "you said I could sleep in your bed". I agreed, but only if there was no talking. I was trying to get some sleep.
We moved to the bed room. As agreed she was very quiet. She was not still. Finally, I gave up, got up and got dressed. Later we dined on pan cakes at Lisa and Jeremiah's house.
Back at home, Steve commenced to completing the trellis for the front porch. It was just in the nick of time. We had vines that were dieing to do some climbing. It is a lovely addition to one of our favorite spaces in our home. I celebrated the completion with a little Sangria. Thanks Michelle.

Please tell drunkle steve I said that your new trellis is supermega effing awesome.
What Dave said. That thing rocks the house. Not literally of course. I don't know how it could do a thing like that. But you know what I mean. Almost seems a shame to let plants grow all over it.
Thanks for the supermega effing awesome compliments. Joy was my muse for it. She's always growing these amazing plants, and she said that she wanted something for vines to grow on up on the porch. So this is what I built for her. I hope the vines enjoy it.
