Steve and I decided to support the City of Decatur, Team Decatur for 2012. First step was running the recent 5K - Run with the Dogs. It raises money for the booster club at Decatur High School.
The plan was to run together, Steve and me and Captain. But, the excitement was more than Captain could handle. He leapt and shreiked and tried to nibble hands. So, I decided to run a little more Captain's pace than Steve's pace.
Captain steered me to a win for my age group. That all seemed great until I realized that I ran nearly a full minute slower than the same 5K in 2009. Ouch.
