Tough day at the office. I arose at 4:30am (CA time) to try and work before my 6:45am breakfast meeting. My VPN connection would not work. I tried to coax it into working, but no luck. My main meeting was at 8am, done at 10:30am (short by our typcial standards but effective). I was back trying to work from my hotel room by 11:30am. No luck again with the VPN. I decided not to smash my lap top into tiny, tiny pieces and set out for a walk. Returned to work in the dark lobby of my hotel. Work was not pleasant. These are some tough times for some folks. I wrapped up work around 4pm, did some more quick exploring. I am staying in the Gas Lamp District with no car. Fortunate for me, the Gas Light District is interesting. I will set off for a last minute dinner meeting. Finally!! I was starting to feel like the last girl invited to the prom or something.
